ITEM : SW213 - UNKNOWN Japanese Naval
Prison Officers Sword
The painted white hilt denotes a naval
attachment for the original owner of this sword, I have been
told it is a prison officials or officers short sword that would
have had a chain running between the twin rings on the hilt
fittings. The scabbard is unfortunately lost but the tempered
blade remains in excellent condition. To hold, the sword is
fearsome and perfectly balanced, the blade is very sharp with a
factory edge and these remain highly collectable. The release
button is functional and original leather buffer is in place.
Never had this one apart.
