ITEM: P21 An early slant
gripped German Army dagger by Spitzer.
Fitted with the typical 1st style E-Pack
fittings that was utilised by many makers on
early production army daggers when factories
where trying to secure production contracts
and prior to producing their own in house
parts. This piece, as expected has a brass
base, tapered tang ( although the pommel is
fixed ) and early E-Pack fittings
throughout. The scabbard is missing the
throat side screws but is again early Pack
production. Spitzer did produce an early
crossguard of their own, this dagger would
pre-date that period and would have been
part of the very first production run in
1935.
