ITEM: LP2 This dagger
deserves to be maker marked as the piece is
in outstanding condition with virtually all
of the original dark finish intact. This is
contrasted beautifully by a flawless
tangerine grip with the brass or copper
based springy wire in perfect condition. All
engraving to the cross-guard is crisp and
the oak leaves show minute stippling to the
background. The blade is mint and shows full
cross-graining. Looking at the fittings and
the scabbard screws / throat, this piece was
almost certainly made by Alcoso and would
have to rate as excellent +.
