ITEM : L103 - UNMARKED 2nd Pattern
Luftwaffe Dagger
This dagger deserves to be maker marked as
the piece is in outstanding condition with virtually all of the
original dark finish intact. This is contrasted beautifully by a
flawless tangerine grip with the brass or copper based springy
wire in perfect condition. All engraving to the cross-guard is
crisp and the oak leaves show minute stippling to the
background. The blade is mint and shows full cross-graining.
Looking at the fittings and the scabbard screws / throat, this
piece was almost certainly made by Alcoso
and would have to rate as excellent +
