	When assessing an SA or NSKK dagger for originality there are basically 4 different types of material used in production of the grip eagles. 1) Copper, nickel silver plated 2) Nickel Silver 3) Aluminium 4) Pot metal or Zinc. All of the different materials have been observed on the later RZM SA daggers as some manufacturers held inventory used in later production. There also exists differences in the eagle styles depending on the manufacturer of the insert which hopefully will be catalogued at a later date. All variations are fixed to the grip by two metal prongs inserted through the wood into the central cavity.
