ITEM: D115 This Army dagger
by Klaas has a plated blade and the correct
fittings by E-Pack known to have been
utilized during the period. The blade is
clearly maker marked and is the plated
variety but in poor condition. It would
certainly benefit from a re-plate. The
fittings are very heavily lacquered which
has taken on a chocolate brown colour
including the scabbard and the base metal
appears to be a lightweight alloy. The
type C grip is undamaged and chip free. This
dagger has the heaviest lacquer in place I
have ever seen on a period army dagger and
has done a reasonable job of protecting the
detail to the parts.
The scabbard appears to be from WKC.
