ITEM: D109 Although this
Heer dagger is unmarked, it is fitted with
ALCOSO parts from top to bottom, all parts
are early and the brass based type. The type
2 ACS crossguard is very scarce and was in
production for only a short time, very early
in the period as a transitional crossguard.
The grip is excellent and the blade bears a
tapered tang expected on a dagger fitted
with these early manufactured parts.
The pommel has wonderful enhancing and punch
work, the blade has surface greying but no
pitting and the ALCOSO scabbard is missing
both screws.
This is not a dagger I would ever normally
contemplate advertising, however I was
recently lucky enough to add an upgraded
duplicate, I honestly doubt you will find
another on any dealers site today.
