ITEM: D108 This dagger is
made up of Generic parts and married with an
unmarked blade, as such it is impossible
today to determine the manufacturer. The
grip has been broken and has been glued
unfortunately, as it is a colour very rarely
seen on an army dagger. The blade is
unmarked and shows some light greying, the
tang bearing the Fredericus cross.
It is fitted with a Generic A crossguard and
pommel and unusually the crossguard is
brass, normally only observed on early
manufactured German Army daggers. The
original silver plate is lost to time. This
dagger has a very unusual configuration and
in all likelihood is made up of parts, even
the ferrule appears to be copper based, not
something you come across every day!
Generic scabbard.
