ITEM: D107 Brass based
fittings on this early type two Eickhorn
German Army Officers dagger, bearing the
double oval stamped trademark to the blade.
The original lacquer to the dagger and
scabbard has turned a golden colour that
matches throughout and most of the silver
wash is no longer evident. The grip is an
early type and hand finished for the tang,
the blade has darkening and has been
polished, the makers mark rated a 7/10 on
the rarity scale. The double oval trademark
is thought to have only been used in 1935 on
army daggers and this dagger would have been
produced either alongside or very shortly
after the scarce 1st slanted offering by
1st style Eickhorn early scabbard.
