This is a first, no letter block matching K98 service bayonet produced by a relatively rare maker Jetter und Scherrer. Retaining all blueing to the blade and slight light spots to the pommel and hilt fittings. Original leather Frog is good with securing clip still intact and supple, and scabbard has full original finish intact. This piece is heavily waffenampt marked throughout. The spline of the blade also has an accountability number that I have been unable to identify?.

ITEM : BC303 - 44cof K98 Bayonet ( Match )

A great conditioned late war matching bayonet by Eickhorn numbered " 0033p " and " cof44 " it retains 95%+ of its original blu-ing and has a wonderful finish to the scabbard that looks like copper tiger stripes running down the length. The blade and hilt show the typical late war finish and bears the Waffenapmt WaA519. The leather frog is intact and in good condition with a working retaining strap and is marked " KVZ 1943 ". A really nice representative example.

This bayonet is surprisingly a mismatch, the bayonet is marked " 44asw " and numbered " 4048x ", it has a mint Mundlos ( S244G ) scabbard that I am pretty sure has never been out of the frog. Both the bayonet and scabbard are 100% as is the leather frog which is marked " FRIED SCHAFER  ULM/DO 1942 ". It also has an infantry troddel, correctly tied and in place for the past 60+ years. This bayonet is excellent and deserves to be a match!.

A late war mismatched bayonet marked " 44asw " with the serial " 4055k " in a scabbard by the scarce manufacturer Machinenhaus Ferlach  " 4bym " and " 1716c ". The hilt fittings and scabbard show light surface rust but the bayonet blade has survived remarkably well retaining 95%+ of original blue. The leather frog and retaining strap are good and manufacturer marked " KVZ 1943 ". Untouched and never been apart.

There are 5 manufacturers of these late war commercial K98 bayonets, WKC being one of them. These were made for the police and other non Wehrmacht units. They are devoid of serial numbers and waffenampt stamps and bear only the manufacturers initials. The bayonet is good with 85% of the original late war finish, never been apart and the frog is supple and maker marked G Otto? Gehreken. A good example with a scare configuration.

This is an early desirable K98 bayonet manufactured in 1927 and issued to the 5th company infantry regiment 38 as marked on the cross-guard. The bayonet originally would have had wooden grip plates and was reworked at some point as indicated by the " SU25 " hilt and flash-guard stamps. Originally would have been matched with a wuk scabbard that was probably replaced when refurbished possibly in 1938 when the scabbard is dated. These bayonets are hard to find in any condition.

This late war 1944 dated bayonet by Eickhorn " 3196w " has since been married with a 1940 dated E-Pack scabbard numbered " 7799b ". The bayonet is typical of late war production and has rough casting to the hilt and the blade areas, both the bayonet and scabbard retain approx 85% of the blu-ing and the grip screws show evidence of turning at some point in the items history. Bayonet production by Eickhorn in 1944 is thought to have only reached the " Y " block which makes this a very late 1944 produced bayonet.

Click here for full pictures - ARMY BAYONET ITEM : BC311 - M1917 American Remington Bayonet ( Match )

This American bayonet was manufactured by the Remington Arms Union Metallic Cartridge Co., Ilion, NY between 1915-1917 for use in WW1. The bayonet was known as the Eddystone or Enfield and was distinguished by the flaming bomb proof mark to the blade. The bayonet and scabbard are profusely marked, the scabbard bearing the makers mark of Jewel 1918. The scabbard has possibly been refinished and the bayonet has lost the majority of its original finish.

This bayonet is of Indian manufacture denoted by the "JU" Jhelum Arsenal to blade. The * mark indicates the false edge and this type has the 1907 pommel. It retains virtually 100% blue and is broad arrow marked throughout, the British manufactured 1907 equivalent was much longer and these where modified by the Indian factory to accommodate jungle warfare. Outstanding condition and crisp markings, not an easy bayonet to find.

Click here for full pictures - ARMY BAYONET ITEM : BC313 - British 1903 Sanderson - Enfield Bayonet ( Match )

A very early WW1 British Enfield bayonet made by Sanderson - Sheffield. I have personally had this bayonet for 30+years and unlike many other similar examples this one retains its suede frog in excellent condition. I confess to cleaning it many years ago but it does not appear to have had a detrimental effect. The blade is heavily marked with the military broad arrow and accountability numbers. As you can tell from the pictures it has never been apart. Although used in huge numbers at the time this pattern is becoming hard to find in good condition.

Click here for full pictures - ARMY BAYONET ITEM : BC314 - British Lee-Metford 1888 Mk1 ( Match )

This bayonet was manufactured for the British Lee Metford rifle and was produced in two patterns, this example being the second. The first pattern utilised three brass rivets for retaining the grip plates. The blade is un-fullered and is stamped with the broad arrow and several accountability numbers as is the scabbard. A clean example showing minor pitting to some areas of the hilt fittings, the leather based scabbard is excellent.

Click here for full pictures - ARMY BAYONET ITEM : BC315 - German S98/05 WW1 Butcher Bayonet ( Match )

A WW1 S98/05 combat bayonet with a clean unmarked or polished blade. The hilt fittings have suffered over the years and display pitting as does the painted scabbard which is a re-paint. The only marking I can find is on the quillion which appears to be " 291 ". The grip plates have never been off and are intact showing heavy use. If only this bayonet could talk!.
