War Merit Cross 2nd Class
This medal is damaged, missing the
blade on one of the central swords. Constructed in zinc it has
lost all of its bronzed wash and has given this medal a sliver
appearance. It has wear to the raised areas although the
detailing remains clearly visible, the brass ring is unmarked
and the ribbon is clean and bright. If you collect these by type
this is a good example of a zinc version of the award albeit
damaged. |
