ITEM: C110 A very nice
Luftwaffe KS98 Dress bayonet by the popular
maker Emil Voos. This piece has very thick
and pronounced stag grip plates and is a
great representative example. The hilt
plating is very good with only minor wear
visible if you search for it and is matched
with a very good blade impressed with the
stamped mid-period Voos trademark. The
pommel slot still has the green felt plug in
place denoting the Luftwaffe attachment and
the blade has a thick, almost unworn leather
blade washer intact which would suggest that
this piece was hardly used. The scabbard and
frog are good, the frog being the tar based
variety which is normally associated with
mid-late war production. The scabbard
probably has approx 75% of the original
paint intact and is un-dented.
The grip plates are what sets this bayonet
apart from other KS98 stag grip bayonets.
They did not skimp on this particular
example and is in virtually unworn
condition. A desirable bayonet from a
