WKC German Army Officers Dagger
This dagger is in reasonable condition with a clean WKC marked
blade showing only minimal light grey patches. The crossguard is
a later silver plated pot metal type 3 Tomahawk crossguard
recognised as being typical WKC production and used from early
in the period. The deep yellow grip is good with a small chip
from the upper portion just under the pommel. The flaw with this
dagger is that I believe the pommel to be a replacement, the
base metal appears to be an aluminium alloy which is not in
keeping with the rest of the fittings, the oak leaf border and
general shape of the pommel leads me to think that this pommel
was originally from a Land Customs dagger. The scabbard also has a door dent
to the lower third. |
