ITEM: C106 A nice mid-late
period German Army Officers dagger with an
excellent unmarked blade. The grip on this
piece is the wood filled type with a
celluloid covering, as such they do not
change color over time like their solid
Trolon counterparts and remains a good
representation of what the dagger would have
looked like as it was carried during the
period. This style of late war dagger is
typical of many of the daggers released by
many of the smaller Solingen firms who did
not produce their own factory parts. Fitted
with Generic type "B" parts, silver plated
hilt fittings and matched with a Generic
style scabbard, the piece is in very good
condition and has a very nice blade showing
the majority of crossgrain and is largely
un-blemished. There is no maker mark to the
blade and because of the Generic fittings it
is not possible to attribute a specific
maker although the quality of this
particular dagger is much better that what
is normally observed on late war German army
officer's daggers.
It features the later shouldered blade tang as expected and a single
centrally placed screw to the scabbard to
retain the throat.
PRICE: £350.00
