British 1903 Sanderson - Enfield Bayonet (
Match
)
A very early WW1 British Enfield bayonet made by Sanderson -
Sheffield. I have personally had this bayonet for 30+years and
unlike many other similar examples this one retains its suede
frog in excellent condition. I confess to cleaning it many years
ago but it does not appear to have had a detrimental effect. The
blade is heavily marked with the military broad arrow and
accountability numbers. As you can tell from the pictures it has
never been apart. Although used in huge numbers at the time this
pattern is becoming hard to find in good condition.
