ITEM: BC309 This
American bayonet was manufactured by the
Remington Arms Union Metallic Cartridge Co.,
Ilion, NY between 1915-1917 for use in WW1.
The bayonet was known as the Eddystone or
Enfield and was distinguished by the flaming
bomb proof mark to the blade. The bayonet
and scabbard are profusely marked, the
scabbard bearing the makers mark of Jewel
1918. The scabbard has possibly been
refinished and the bayonet has lost the
majority of its original finish.
