KS98   DRESS    ETCHED    STAG   COMBAT    PARADE    POLICE    ENGRAVED    BAYONETS   K98

This is a very late war unmarked dress bayonet produced with wood grip plates to imitate original stag. The hilt fittings are un-plated and are polished base metal, they also bear rough tool marks normally observed on late war K98 combat bayonets. Paint to scabbard is virtually 100% although I have not checked under the black tarred frog. This piece reflects the urgency in production towards the latter parts of the war and as with the combat equivalent, relatively rare.
