ITEM : B301 - EICKHORN Stag Handled Short
Dress Bayonet
GENERAL DESCRIPTION : This is the
shorter version of the private purchase stag handled dress
bayonet. The stag grips are a perfect fit and held in place by
two chromed rivets, the pommel has full plating intact with only
slight loss to the press stud. The green felt insert is as new
and appears never to have been removed, the cross piece and
quillion have full chrome plating. The blade itself does show
light sharpening but is otherwise still in very good shape
displaying the Eickhorn trademark squirrel over Solingen. The
point is needle like and never been dropped. The sheath has 85%
original paint and retains its centred runner screw, all paint
has been lost to the ball but is not dented. The leather frog is
of the painted tarred variety and is mint. Bayonet fit to sheath
is as it should be, very tight and in my opinion this trio has
never been separated. A very nice display item.
